Sanjay is the national tax practice leader and Silicon Valley/San Jose office managing partner at MGO. He oversees MGO’s rapidly growing tax team of nearly 150 professionals, which provides strategic tax services to public and private companies of all sizes, private equity (PE) funds, high net worth individuals and families, and more. With more than a decade of international and corporate tax experience, Sanjay serves as a trusted business advisor to clients, many of whom are emerging or established technology companies and their founders and investors, and PE funds.
Prior to joining MGO, Sanjay gained Big Four and major regional firm experience, focusing on international and corporate tax planning services for multinational corporations. He has deep knowledge and experience in stock and asset acquisitions/dispositions, structuring of tax efficient business models, IP strategy and planning, tax efficient repatriation and treasury management structures. global supply chain and PFIC planning, and foreign tax optimization.
Frequently, Sanjay proactively advises and guides public and privately owned companies through highly complex engagements. Often, he leverages his extensive network to help minimize clients’ foreign taxes while maintaining a positive U.S. tax position. He has a master of laws (LL.M.) degree in corporate and international tax and is licensed to practice law in California.
