Nolan Shutler


Nolan is a director in MGO’s tax group focusing on tax controversy representation and general state and local tax (SALT) consulting. He also has experience in indirect tax, tax planning, corporate tax compliance, and real estate transactions. Nolan has an unusual ability to leverage tax and business management acumen to understand and forge paths to optimal outcomes.

Prior to joining MGO, Nolan worked with businesses in technology, engineering, and for a Big 4 accounting firm. His experience includes managing U.S. federal and SALT direct and indirect tax matters for public, private, and closely held businesses. He has experience providing support, and serving as a subject matter professional, on tax controversy and compliance matters for clients in the information technology, financial services, biomedical, retail, and hospitality industries.
