Liga is the Leader of MGO’s National Transfer Pricing practice and a Managing Director in MGO’s Tax Practice.
She has over 20 years of US and international transfer pricing experience equally balanced between developing US Treasury IRC 482 transfer pricing policy and proactive controversy mitigation strategies, which include valuation of intangible assets and pricing of services, products and financial transactions. She leads in-house, global transfer pricing policy development and matrixed teams of multinational corporations; and advises corporate finance, business, and tax leaders at both emerging and established global companies. Liga’s expertise includes global supply chain planning, IP planning and valuation, and working in close partnership with international tax advisors and law firms to optimize after-tax profits for clients.
She is a proactive advisor, who guides US and foreign companies, both public and privately owned, through complex engagements. Through her contacts, Liga is able to leverage an extensive network of local transfer pricing consultants to support foreign audits and create optimal, emerging transfer pricing risk mitigation strategies to support competitive global and US tax positions for her clients.
She has extensive industry experience in areas such as high-tech and computer software including SaaS and AI; media and entertainment; financial services, including investment funds, FinTech and optimizing treasury operations; biotechnology, life science, healthcare and pharmaceuticals; industry products, energy and chemicals; food and beverage and retail.
Prior to joining MGO, Liga worked at major international law and consulting firms, where she focused on international and corporate transfer pricing planning services for emerging firms, private equity funds, multi-national corporations and for governments. Liga also served as Transfer Pricing Director at publicly-traded high technology, life sciences and financial services firms. She has also been published in periodicals such as Euromoney, International Tax Review and World Finance.
Liga is based out of MGO’s Silicon Valley office.
