MGO Combines with Mensch & Associates
Sacramento, CA (June 25, 2012) – Macias Gini & O’Connell LLP (MGO), a statewide certified public accounting and business management firm, today announced that it has joined forces with Mensch & Associates (Mensch), a San Diego-based accounting, tax and management advisory services firm.
MGO, established in 1987, provides assurance, tax, business management and consulting services in a variety of industries through six offices statewide. Mensch is a full-service CPA firm led by Patricia Mensch, CPA, CGFM that offers expertise in addressing the specific needs of federal government contractors. Ms. Mensch has over 25 years of experience working with federal government contracting issues.
“The combined expertise of our two firms allows us to offer truly unique value to clients,” said MGO Managing Partner Kevin O’Connell. “We’ll bring a capability that no other firm can offer – a deep understanding of both sides of the contracting relationship from an accounting standpoint – as well as a greater resource capacity to provide tax and accounting services, not only in southern California but nationwide.”
The transaction was completed June 15, 2012. Mensch’s employees are retained in the deal. A co-branded identity for the Mensch firm will be launched in August. Mensch & Associates will continue to operate out of its current location at 12264 El Camino Real in San Diego. Terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
